Sadly the glazing agents contain insect extracts. Beeswax E901 & E904 Shellac/ wax extracted from Lac/ a species of Lice. That's what makes the coating crunchy/ shiny. Many people don't categorize insects as animals which is why ingredients can read no animal ingredients. It would be really great if they could make them without these ingredients, and just use the Carnauba / plant wax - that they already use. C'mon Jelly Belly - with all these amazing flavours - I'm sure you can!

The first time I tried this, I thought I had eaten something I shouldn't have. There is this wonderful thing that goes on in your brain when you eat something that tastes like buttered popcorn, but in jelly bean form and how do they mix sweet with salty and buttery? If you hate getting popcorn bits stuck in your teeth, are allergic to butter, or hate the mess and calories of popcorn, but love the taste, you will really appreciate this unique taste combination that people seem to love or hate. I love them and recommend them as gifts and for setting out at parties to start conversations. These Jelly Beans are also made without gelatin, so vegans can eat and enjoy!

The number one Jelly Belly Bean flavor, in my oppinion, is the buttered popcorn. This jelly bean is unlike any other candy, the perfect mix of salty and sweat. The mixes with other flavors are great, especially the blue berry muffins. YUM! My only problem with them is that they are soo hard to put down once you start eating them. Although that is a problem I don't mind having. :-)

Our church, Christ Central of Lake City, FL had a huge Easter weekend in which a movie was shown at five services that our church produced. Free popcorn and drinks were provided and each ministry set up a booth advertising what they had to offer. The children's ministry is called Kidz Studios and have a movie theme logo. So with Easter and the movie we thought it only fitting that popcorn flavored jelly belly's should be handed out. It was a big hit!! Thanks Ken Neff
