I prefer getting the bags that include variety of jelly belly beans as that allows me to get a sampling of many of the different unique flavors. Since there are so many different flavors to choose from, I feel why just pick one flavor when you can sample many. It also allows me to mix the flavors together such as making a pina colada by tasting three jellybeans together which would include pineapple, coconut, and banana. The variety bags are a feast for the taste buds!
