    Sadly the glazing agents contain insect extracts. Beeswax E901 & E904 Shellac/ wax extracted from Lac/ a species of Lice. That's what makes the coating crunchy/ shiny. Many people don't categorize insects as animals which is why ingredients can read no animal ingredients. It would be really great if they could make them without these ingredients, and just use the Carnauba / plant wax - that they already use. C'mon Jelly Belly - with all these amazing flavours - I'm sure you can!

          The first time I tried this, I thought I had eaten something I shouldn't have.
          There is this wonderful thing that goes on in your brain when you eat something that tastes like buttered popcorn, but in jelly bean form and how do they mix sweet with salty and buttery?
          If you hate getting popcorn bits stuck in your teeth, are allergic to butter, or hate the mess and calories of popcorn, but love the taste, you will really appreciate this unique taste combination that people seem to love or hate.
          I love them and recommend them as gifts and for setting out at parties to start conversations.

          These Jelly Beans are also made without gelatin, so vegans can eat and enjoy!
